Dance Books

Our dance books arise from years spent teaching, practicing, and thinking about movement in the studio. They explore dance not only as technique, but as lived experience, shaped by repetition, attention, misunderstanding, discovery, and occasionally unintended humor.

Some titles capture the accidental wit that arises when movement is articulated aloud. They reflect the reality that studio language, taken out of context, can sound surprisingly suggestive, and they approach this with warmth, honesty, and a knowing smile that dancers immediately recognize.

Other works take a quieter path, exploring tango and movement through reflection, presence, and awareness. These books examine how attention, balance, listening, and intention shape the dance, inviting readers to slow down and notice what occurs between steps.

Together, these titles honor both the discipline and the humanity of dance. They are written for dancers, teachers, and thoughtful readers who understand that learning occurs not only through instruction but also through humor, reflection, and time on the floor.
